Abstract

Objective  To explore the application of ultrasound-guided technology in the teaching of fascia iliaca compartment block (FICB) anesthesia.
Methods  Twenty doctors receiving standardized hospital residents training were randomly divided into ultrasound guided group (group A) and anatom-ical positioning group (group B) by random number table method. The ultrasound system and tradi-tional anatomical positioning method were used for teaching respectively, and the neurological re-sistance as measured by the doctors in each group was recorded. The success rate and blocking effect of the original operation are analyzed, and the additional effect of ultrasound-guided technology on clinical teaching is analyzed.
Results  The first-time success rate of FICB operation (59% vs. 21%) and the total success rate (88% vs. 54%) were significantly higher in group A. Compared with group B, the teaching satisfaction, mastery of theoretical knowledge and group A’s confidence scores for performing FICB were also higher, and the operation time was also shorter.
Conclusion  The effect of FICB teaching using ul-trasound guidance is good, and this can significantly improve the students’ success rate when perform-ing FICB operation, shorten the operation time, and enhance their confidence and interest.
